Contradictory Reports: Alleged orphanage hostage situation sparks denials

 Rumors have circulated claiming that 35 children and four officials from an orphanage in Kham Pat, Sagaing Region, were rescued by the Regional Defence Forces, alleging that they had been held hostage by the Tatmadaw.

In response to these reports, local officials have refuted the claims, asserting that it is false news. They emphasized that the Tatmadaw does not engage in the forceful abduction of the public, as their primary role is to safeguard the lives and properties of the people.

These unfounded allegations are believed to be disseminated by destructive media entities, possibly aiming to conceal their involvement in terrorist activities.
