Electricity Distribution: Union Minister holds meeting for Kachin State

Union Minister for Electric Power U Nyan Tun presided over a meeting on electricity distribution in Kachin State. During the meeting in Myitkyina, the Union Minister said governmental employees need to be loyal to the country and be free from party politics while adhering to ethics and laws.

He also highlighted the importance of security. Calling for cooperation, the Union Minister said planning is underway to increase electricity generation to improve the socio-economic life of the people. It is necessary to ensure that there is no wastage in the collection of electricity charges and to distribute electricity in a fair and orderly manner according to the specified time, the Union Minister added.

And, attendees reported matters on electricity distribution conditions in Kachin state, electricity bill arrears processing, measures to reduce power loss and outages and plans. The Union Minister coordinated the reports, gave necessary instructions and provided cash assistance for the officials and staff from the Ministry.
