Exhibition in Yangon: Industrial Products Exhibition and Market Fair

To commemorate the 77th anniversary of the Union Day, the opening ceremony of the Industrial Products Exhibition and Market Fair took place on Saturday morning at the People's Square in Dagon Township, Yangon Region with the attendance by Chief Minister U Soe Thein.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minster stressed that the fair displayed various kinds of products in specific commodity or industrial groupings. He highlighted the benefits of exhibition that the exhibitors can exchange their products and gather contact information with each other. He emphasized the main purpose of holding exhibition that the fair aims to encourage the purchase of domestic products in addition to obtain good ideas for the business and build business network.

This was followed by the inauguration ceremony with the cut of ceremonial ribbon by Economic Affairs Minister U MyoMyint Aung and Minister for Natural Resources U Zaw Win and chairpersons of industrial zones. About 400 booths and shops are on display at the fair, with a wide range of products from Yangon industrial zones, MSME entrepreneurs, SmallScaleIndustries Department, Department of Cooperatives and Yangon Region Investment Committee.

The exhibition and market fair will include the daily charity feast during festive period, stage performance of famous artists and sale of basic food stuff with affordable prices. Ferries have been arranged to facilitate the public transportation of festive comers and anyone who are interested are welcome to join freely and happily this festive moment.
