Peace Process: NSPNC and 7 NCA-signatory EAOs hold meeting

The National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee (NSPNC) and 7 NCA-signatory ethnic armed organizations (EAOs) held a meeting on Tuesday at the National Reconciliation and Peace Centre in Nay Pyi Taw.

The meeting was attended by Member of the State Administration Council Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Yar Pyae and the Committee members as well as Chairperson of the ALP Daw Saw Mra Yaza Lin, Vice Chairperson of the KNU/KNLA-PC Dr. Naw Ka Paw Htoo, Vice Chairperson of the Lahu Democratic Union Kyar Phu, Associate General Secretary 1 of the PNLO Khun Min Thein, Central Communication Head of the DKBA Saw Kyaw Than Htay, Second in charge of the Central Development Department of the New Mon State Party Nai Nyi Nyi and member of the RCSS Central Committee Nan San Phaung.

The meeting began with the SAC Member Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Yar Pyae and Vice Chairperson of the KNU/KNLA-PC Dr. Naw Ka Paw Htoo, delivering remarks. And, attendees made discussions on peace processes to be carried out in the future, humanitarian assistance activities in EAOs areas and regional development works.

The meeting ended with Chairperson of the ALP Daw Saw Mra Yaza Lin and the SAC Member Union Minister Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, making closing remarks.
