Work Coordination Meeting: Matters on MMP Academy Award Event discussed

A Work Coordination Meeting of Organizing Committee on Myanmar Motion Picture Academy Award Event was held at the Ministry of Information in Nay Pyi Taw in the afternoon on 5th January.

In his speech at the meeting, the Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn in his capacity as the Chairman of Organizing Committee on Myanmar Motion Picture Academy Award Event said that 2023 Myanmar Motion Picture Academy Award Event will be organized on 3rd of February, 2024 at Myanmar International Convention Center-1 (MICC-1) in Nay Pyi Taw.

For the time being, the Ministry of Information is implementing several tasks, the gold for the gold stars to be installed at the Academy statue and the brooch of academy status to be presented to the attendees of the event including academy award winners, artistes and technicians will be borne by the government and work orders have been placed. As Forever Group Co., Ltd will be responsible as the main sponsor, the bilateral agreement has been signed on 3rd of January, a total of 35 films which staged during 2023 has been scrutinized as the first stage and the selected 12 films have been completed scrutinizing on the 3rd of January.

The 26 receptionists including 13 men and 13 women have been selected. The preparation works for the event such as lighting, audio and camera will be completed on 28th January and the technical rehearsal will be performed on 29th. Next, the Vice Chairman of organizing committee Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Than Tun Oo clarified the preparations for organizing event successfully.

Next, the Vice Chairman of work committee Deputy Minister U Ye Tint discussed the status of work implementations to be done in time and the committee secretary permanent secretary U Myo Myint Maung clarified the plans to be implemented for the evet. Afterward, the Nay Pyi Taw Council Member U Myint Soe, Deputy Mayor U Maung Maung, patron/Chairman of Myanmar Motion Picture Organization U Kyi Soe Tun, Chairman of Myanmar Music Organizations (Central) U Lwin Myint, sub-committees chairmen and the attendees discussed the matters on programs to be presented including the songs. After supplementing necessary matters, the Union Minister gave a speech of conclusion.
