China / Myanmar: Implementation of China-Myanmar Economic Corridor

Ministries held a coordination meeting on implementation of the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor.  In the meeting at the Ministry of Planning and Finance on Thursday, Chairman of the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor Joint Committee Union Minister U Win Shein stressed reformation of the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor Joint Committee, implementation of the Corridor, plans and preparations for China-Myanmar work coordination meeting for the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor Joint Committee meeting.

This meeting continued with members of the Joint Committee discussing the implementation of the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor by work committees, plans and coordination. In his response, the Union Minister called for practical plans and completion of the Early Harvest projects in time.  The meeting was also attended by Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Myanmar, economic ministers from Yangon, Magway, Mandalay and Ayeyawaddy regions as well as from Rakhine and Shan states.
