COVID-19 Response Measures

A Coordination meeting on the needs of volunteers who participate in COVID-19 prevention, control and response measures took place on Monday. Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Thet Thet Khaing expressed thanks to the volunteers and charity organizations who provide assistance to the needs of public health matters.

The Deputy Minister also stressed to organize the people to participate in inoculation measures. The charity organizations discussed the needs of volunteers, skilled training, identity card, office place, PPEs, foodstuff, fuel and transportation. They also talked about the needs of oxygen cylinders for the ambulance, placing liquid oxygen tanker at the COVID-19 positive centers and more appointment of doctors and nurses.

The Union Minister said the Ministry is coordination necessary measures for the needs of the volunteers. The arrangements for ground situation including security measures, permission, foodstuff, protective equipment, fuel and identity cards have been carried out by the General Administrative Departments of respective Regions, States, Districts and townships. She urged the volunteers to make close cooperation with the respective General Administration Department.
