COVID-19 Update: 7 new COVID-19 cases reported on December 20

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures. The Ministry reported 7 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Tuesday after testing 4,646 patients within 24 hours.

At the time of the report, there’s no patient who died due to the disease while 6 patients have recovered. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 633,575 with 19,488 deaths and 608,147 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, France, Germany, Brazil, the Republic of Korea, Japan, Italy, the United Kingdom and the Russian Federation, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 4:54pm CET, 20 December 2022, there have been over 649 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 6.64 million deaths.
