Diplomatic Skills: 12-week Certificate Course in Basic Diplomatic Skills

The Inauguration Ceremonies of the Certificate Course in Basic Diplomatic Skills (44/2023) conducted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, was held in parallel at the Lawkanat hall of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw and at the Wunzinminyarzar Hall of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Yangon on Monday with the opening remark delivered by U Than Swe, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs in Yangon.

The 12-week part-time certificate course joined by about 100 trainees from Nay Pyi Taw and Yangon covers diplomacy, international relations, international law, economics, international affairs, negotiation skills and international conferencing. On the same day, the Union Minister met the members of the Advisory Group of Myanmar Diplomatic Academy for the establishment of the Myanmar Diplomatic Academy in Yangon.

Moreover, the Union Minister delivered the remarks at the Meeting with the members of the Senior Advisory Board and the Executive Board of the Myanmar Institute of Strategic and International Studies. At the Meeting, the Union Minister explained the cooperation in regional and international relations.

In addition, he encouraged the Myanmar Institute of Strategic and International Studies to contribute their advice and recommendations from the Academic point of view in the various sectors for the national interests.

Chairman of the Myanmar Institute of Strategic and International Studies, the members of the Senior Advisory Board and the Executive Board of the Myanmar Institute of Strategic and International Studies reported to the Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister on the current activities undertaken by the Institute.
