Efforts for Kachin State: Chief Minister makes inspections and attends dinner

Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan on Saturday afternoon inspected the solar-powered irrigation system and the winter crops cultivation smart farm in Madain Village of Waingmaw Township to raise awareness among farmers.
There, the Chief Minister also inspected soybean and sunflower farms. And, he coordinated with concerned officials to dig tube wells and get water from the WaShaung Dam for the winter crops irrigation in the village. Also, on the MoatHlwae farm, the Chief Minister inspected strip farming condition to raise awareness among farmers, inspected soybean and sunflower cultivation, solar-powered irrigation and held talks with farmers.
In Myitkyina, the Chief Minister inspected solar-powered irrigation for winter crops cultivation on BaLaMinHtin farm, expansion of cultivation on TatKone farm and cultivation on ManKhein farm and gave necessary instructions. Later the day, at the People’s Sports ground, the Chief Minister attended an honourary dinner for 500 officials and staff who made efforts for the 76th Kachin State Day Ceremony.
Before the dinner, the Chief Minister gave a speech, appreciating the efforts of officials and staff to have successfully celebrated the 76th Kachin State Day Ceremony. It’s learnt that the 10th of January was designated as Kachin State Day in honour of forming the Kachin State government at the first Kachin State Council Conference held on the 10th of January 1948 in the post-independence period of Myanmar.
