Health sector: MoH UM receives ICRC resident representative

Union Minister for Health Dr Thet Khaing Win received the resident representative of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Ms Elena Ajmone Sessera, and her team at the ministry in Friday morning.

During the meeting, the matter on signing a regional agreement for cooperation in health activities between the Ministry of Health and the ICRC was discussed.

They talked about more cooperation in the humanitarian assistance activities carried out by the ICRC in Myanmar, prosthetics manufacturing and installation in cooperation with the ministry.

The ICRC delegation discussed issues related to obtaining visas for international staff and travel permission within the country.
