Meeting with PBT members: MoRAC Union Minister held meeting with PBT members

Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin Oo Lwin together with the officials offered water, flowers to the Buddha Image under the Bodhi tree at the south entrance of the Shwedagon Pagoda and paid homage to the Padamya MyetShin Buddha image at upper terrace in the morning on 12th November.
Next, the Union Minister held meeting with members of the Pagoda Board of Trustees at the office of the Board and gave necessary instruction regarding with the duties and functions of the members of the PBT and the tasks for the convenience of the pilgrims and to prevent the disrespectful manners of some pilgrims, to carry out cleaning and polishing surface of grey marbles which have been found out to be able to reduce the 4 degree Celsius of temperature, to implement gild the pagoda in line with the religious customs and procedures and to carry out the cleaning and greening tasks at the precinct of the pagoda.
Then, the members of the pagoda board of trustee reported the matters on gilding the Shwedagon pagoda in full circumference and Naungdawgyi Ceti, status of renovating heat resistant marble slabs and the implementation of Pagoda Digital Directory and the Union Minister coordinated requirements and gave a speech of conclusion.
