Moderate Earthquake: 5.1-magnitude quake hit about 12 miles southwest of Bago

A 5.1-magnitude earthquake with its epicenter inside Myanmar hit about 12 miles southwest of Bago Township on Saturday, according to the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology.

This moderate earthquake in Bago Region with a depth of 10 kilometers occurred at about 8:54 p.m. Myanmar Standard Time. It’s reported that people even in Yangon felt the earthquake which was about 27 miles northeast of Kaba-Aye seismological observatory.
