Paritta Recitation: Sayadaws & Monks Recite Parittas By Flight Across Myanmar

Sayadaws and monks led by Chairman of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee, Mandalay Bhamo Monastery Sayadaw Dr. Buddhanta Kumara Bhiwunsa recited Paritta Suttas across Myanmar by special flight on Wednesday to be free from pandemic disease for Myanmar citizens. Yangon Region Chief Minister U Phyo Min Thein and officials paid homage to the Sayadaws and monks led by the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Chairman at the Yangon International Airport and donate cash.

Saydaws and monks left from Yangon by special flight in the morning and the flight was flown along the Ayeyawady river route. Saydaws and monks led by Bhamo Monastery Sayadaw recited Paritta Suttas and dispensed metta for Myanmar people to be free from pandemic disease.

On arrival at Mandalay International Airport, the Shan Ethnic Affairs Minister for the Mandalay Regional Government and officials offered day meal and donated cash to the sayadaws and monks.

In the afternoon of that day, the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Chairman, Sayadaws and monks recited paritta suttas by special flight from Mandalay along Ayeyawady river route. The flight then landed Myitkyina Airport and Kachin State Chief Minister and officials greeted Sayadaws and monks.

At the Bagan-Nyaung U Airport, Hluttaw representatives and departmental officials welcomed and donated offertories to them. The flight then departed from Nyaung U along Ayeyawady river route. Sayadaws and monks arrived back in Yangon in the evening.
