State Administration Council Meeting: SAC Chairman addresses the meeting in Nay Pyi Taw

The State Administration Council held its meeting (2/2024) at the SAC chairman’s Office on Friday with an address by SAC Chairman, Prime Minister, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing. In his speech, the Prime Minister said that although the GDP of country increased in previous financial year, there is still a need for progress as expected.

The State Administration Council has been able to carry out for improvements of State’s economy with the cooperation of the people, despite the sanctions. If the country maintains peace and stability, more achievements will be made.

The Prime Minister added that agriculture, industry and trade sectors play vital roles for economic development of the country. Due to the lack of peace and stability, some areas in the State and Region faced a decline in the economy. He pledged that the government will continue to work towards peace and stability in the entire nation while making the preparations for holding the upcoming election without fail.

Then, the council members reported on the matters including agricultural development, necessities for farmers, arrangement of excursions for youth and students to flourish nationalism and patriotism, tourism development, regional peace and stability.

Afterwards, SAC Vice-chairman, Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior General Soe Win explained the conditions for the speedy implementation of peace and stability in areas where the people have participated and cooperated for peaceful activities. In his conclusion, the Prime Minister called for people’s cooperation since it is essential for undertaking the peace and stability of the region in cooperation with the security forces.
