Youth and literary arts festival: Ceremony marking Diamond Jubilee Independence Day

In commemoration of 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Independence Day 2023, youth and literary arts festival was launched at the MICC-II in Nay Pyi Taw on Monday, with the attendance of Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla. Union Ministers U Maung Maung Ohn, Dr Nyunt Pe and U Min Thein Zan formally opened the ceremony.

Later, the SAC Chairman Prime Minister and wife opened the Youth and literary arts festival. The Prime Minister and party viewed around the booths and the momentary filming booth displayed at the festival.

Later, the 2nd session of the festival was continued and the students from the schools in Nay Pyi Taw and entertainment troupes sung the songs. The Prime Minister and wife then presented flower baskets and honoraria to the students and artists who took part in the performance.

The youth and literary arts festival was held with the aims for developing reading habits by the student youths and to know the benefits of literature, to promote nationalistic spirit and prestige through the filming art, to value the nation’s independence and  understand the histories of Independence struggle and the experiences of life under colonial rule, to cherish their regions and states while knowing peace and stability of the country, pleasantness, development and scenic beauty of rural areas through the photographic art exhibition and to understand performances and undertakings of respective ministries through the exhibition.

The festival will be held until 28th December and the respective ministries exhibit 62 booths. The books and periodical booths, book stalls and the booth of documentary film on “The Great Myanmar” are also displayed for students and public.
