Central Committee meeting: Matters on Private Healthcare Service discussed

The Central Committee on Private Healthcare Service meeting (1/2024) was held at the Ministry of Health, Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on 3rd January, 2024 with the attendance of the Chairman of Central Committee Union Minister for Health Dr. Thet Khaing Win, members of Central Committee and special invited guests.

In his remark at the meeting, the Union minister Dr. Thet Khaing Win said that while the government is encouraging the MSMEs, as the private healthcare Services which are included in the nature of MSMEs, the development of the private healthcare sector is focused to address. The meeting is the first one in 2024. In the application of new private healthcare service licenses, it’s needed to have full date.

The field on ground groups representing the central committee have been extended to be able to grant licenses as fast as possible. The license granted Services are being supervised in line with the law. In appointing the healthcare employees, it’s needed to be holders of valid license, not being committed the existing laws and the personnel description of actual serving person.

To control the healthcare employees in the private hospitals, the necessary arrangements are being carried out to establish the HR database and the plenary survey collection is being carried. For the safety of the patients, the cooperation with the Fire Service Department is needed to receive (Fire Safety Certificate- FSC) and Department of Atomic Energy to avoid other hazards.

Next, the central committee secretary Director General Dr. Myat Wunna Soe of the Department of Medical Service, central committee joint-secretary Deputy director General (Medical Serive) Dr. Moe Khaing clarified the development of private healthcare sector and other special cases and the applications of private healthcare service (new) and the central committee members discussed necessary matters and the Union Minister gave a speech of conclusion.
