Labour Affairs: Meeting on healthcare services for insured workers

Union Minister for Labour U Myint Naung on Friday afternoon held a meeting with officials from the clinics that have signed an agreement with the Social Security Board (SSB) and been providing healthcare services to insured workers.

In this meeting, the Union Minister highlighted the SSB’s Providing Free Medical Care and Providing Cash Benefits. In order to fully meet the health service needs of the insured workers, in addition to the labor hospitals and township welfare clinics belonging to the SSB, hospitals and clinics have been opened in cooperation with the private sector under the Provider Purchaser Split (Capitation Payment).

The Union Minister also urged the officials to provide the best healthcare services to the insured workers. And, director general from the Social Security Board explained healthcare services provision at the clinics that have signed an agreement with the SSB. Also, the officials from the clinics made discussions and the Union Minister coordinated the discussions.
