Livestock Sector: Meeting for 7th Veterinary Council, Veterinary Association

A work coordination meeting for election of the 7th Veterinary Council and 15th Myanmar Veterinary Association took place at the University of Veterinary Science, Yezin in Zeyathiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw Council Area on Friday.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr. Aung Gyi and many other concerned officials. During the opening remarks, the Deputy Minister said that Myanmar Veterinary Council (MVC) and Myanmar Veterinary Association (MVA) play a pivotal role for the development of livestock sector of the country, collective efforts are needed to be able to conduct veterinary education system with modern technology and to promote livestock research tasks.

It is necessary to hold more conferences, paper reading sessions and discussions and to make publishing. Then, attendees made suggestions on the election of the 7th Veterinary Council and 15th MyanmarVeterinary Association. The meeting was concluded by the Deputy Minister’s closing remarks.
