Mass Rallies: Supporting the People’s Military Service Law

Mass rallies, supporting the enforcement of People’s Military Service Law, took place in various towns across Regions and States. On Sunday, the gatherings were seen in Tanai and Bamaw of Kachin State, Myeik of Taninthayi Region and Pyay of Bago Region respectively.

Local national activists gathered at the designated places, and marched towards the venues, chanting the slogans. Originally enacted by the State Peace and Development Council in 2010 as Law No.27/2010, the People’s Military Service Law is set to take effect from the 10th of February 2024 by the order, signed by Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Chairman of the State Administration Council, according to Section 1(b) of the Law.
