Promoting Sports Standards: Union Minister inspects sports facilities in Yangon

Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan visited sports facilities in Dagon Myothit South on Sunday.

During the tour, he made inspection at Multipurpose Stadium, Football Ground and Takwando Studio, cordially greeting the players who are undergoing training at the sports facilities and provided necessary assistance. He then proceeded to Padetha Stadium in South Okkalapa Township, and observed the Aikido Studio, pledging to fulfill the need as much as possible.

He also inspected the construction of Boxing Studio, and stressed for meeting the set standard. On arrival at Myanmar Rowing Federation on Inya Road, the Union Minister met with the rowers on camp training and urged all to make strenuous efforts in every competition, cherishing the prestige of the nation. The Union Minister then inspected the construction of Tennis Training Court in MingalaTaungnyunt Township, and hostels at Sports and Physical Education Institute (Yangon).
