Receiving diplomats: MoALI UM received Russian and Egyptian ambassadors

Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung received Ambassador of Russian Federation to Myanmar Mr. Iskander Azizov and Egypt Ambassador of Myanmar. Mrs. Aya Saad Mohamed Abdelkarim separately and discussed the matters on bilateral cooperation in agriculture, livestock and fishery sector, agricultural products based trade promotion and technical exchange.

At the meeting with Russian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr. Iskander Azizov, the status of coordinating to sign MoU on the bilateral cooperation in fishery industry, collaboration according to the agreements in 3rd Russian-Myanmar G-G Trade and Economic cooperation Commission, the prioritized industries according to the outcome of the food security and related meetings between Myanmar and Russian Federation, constructing factory of natural growth of plant hormone, sustainable development of agricultural sector without environmental impact and high yield of crops, fertilizers suitable for geographical and climate situation of Myanmar to be imported from Russian Federation and the cooperation for acquiring market shares for agricultural products of Myanmar such as rice, beans and pulses were cordially discussed.

At the meeting with Egypt Ambassador of Myanmar Mrs. Aya Saad Mohamed Abdelkarim, sending trainees of Myanmar to the training courses given by Egyptian International Center for Agriculture (EICA) under the MoU on agricultural cooperation between Myanmar and Egypt and the preparations to sign new MoU on bilateral cooperation in the agricultural sector, efforts for producing hybrid cotton strain after importing long staple cotton seeds from Egypt, technical collaboration for cotton and potato crops and the cooperation for the human resource development were cordially discussed.
