Rural Development: MCRD Union Minister discusses development projects

The Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development held a work coordination meeting for second four-month of 2023-2024 fiscal year in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday.

Union Minister U Hla Moe said the government is paying special attention for development of MSME businesses based on agriculture and livestock sectors for socio-economic development of rural community, accounting for over 70% of the country population.

He called for harmonious collaboration among the departments for the success of development works, meeting the set standards and time frame. The attendees reported on progress of rural development works, cooperatives activities, MSME businesses and sustainable rural development projects. In response to the reports, the Union Minister instructed the needs to carry out the tasks with transparency, accountability and responsibility without any bias.
