Rural Development: MCRD Union Minister makes inspection in Magwe Region

Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe  accompanied by concerned officials visited the ChaungKaut Village in Sin Baung We Township of Magwe Region on Thursday.

He urged farmers to reduce the usage of chemical fertilizers and to use natural fertilizers more in growing crops to maintain the soil condition. He also stressed to conduct laboratory testing of chemical fertilizers and set the sutiable amount of fertilizers to use per acre. On arrival at Than Bo Ywathit Village, the Union Minister met with the members of village committee, local residents and farmers.

During the meeting, the Union Minister called agriculture and livestock breeding enterprises and other manufacturers to make concerted efforts in region development process as the Ministry will provide the required investments.

Then, the Union Minister coordinated requirements upon reports submitted by local residents. Afterward, the Union Minister inspected the completion of water purifying system and collective cattle farming conducted with Rural Business Fund (RBF).

On the same day, the Union Minister, Region Chief Minister and party visited the Cooperative Accounting Vocational Training Center (Magwe) and met with the faculty members and students. There, the Union Minister encouraged the students and faculty members to create effective learning and teaching environment and fulfilled the needs.

Then, the Union Minister and party met with the trainees of Manual Weaving 1-month training course under One Region One Product project at the Department of Small-scale Industries.

During the meeting, the Union Minister coordinated requirements on providing manual weaving machines to the trainees who completed the training. Then, the Union Minister oversaw the local products of the small-scale industries and weaving products.

Likewise, the Union Minister and party inspected the concrete paving process of the road which connects Magwe-Kan Pyar- Myo Thit- Nay Pyi Taw Road and Bayar Phyo Myauk Village and Bayar Phyo Taung Village being undertaken by Department of Rural Road Development and provided necessary instructions for long-term durability.
