Cherry blossoms have been spotted in Taunggyi since the third week of February. Situated at 4,700 feet above sea level, Taunggyi, the Capital City of Shan State, boasts a clean and pleasant environment with favorable weather conditions. Cherry trees thrive in the hilly regions, specifically at elevations ranging from 3,000 to 4,000 feet above sea level, and flourish in cool and pleasant weather.

The cherry flowers, characterized by about 5 to 6 petals surrounding the stamen in the middle, bloom in shades of light pink and white, emitting no fragrance. Typically, these blossoms grace the landscape during January and February, attracting numerous visitors eager to enjoy the picturesque cherry blooms and capture stunning photos of the natural spectacle.
